Entretien
I was contacted over email by a recruiter to come in for an interview for a counsel position that I applied to. The recruiter and I corresponded over email a number of times and I interviewed with the hiring manager (within legal) a couple weeks later. After the interview, I never received a response from the recruiter or the hiring manager, even though I followed up via email multiple times. I continued to apply for similar positions, as they became available, and the recruiter never responded. I think it is very discourteous and unprofessional that not respond to candidate inquiries or send follow up correspondence to unsuccessful applicants. I will NOT be applying to Viacom again.

Entretien
The interview consisted of a 30 minute phone screen interview that took place in the afternoon. The phone interview was very clearly geared towards finding a candidate that very specifically met the requirements as identified and defined in the job description. I felt that the process was fair, but then again, the interviewer could have been more receptive to hearing about applicability of expereince that was not 100% aligned with the role on paper, but in practice would have been.
Legal assistant reached out to set up time with the hiring manager. Interviewed also with HR and the rest of the legal team in the department. Interviewed with the general counsel and also business groups, and then got the offer shortly thereafter. Was a good overall experience.
