The initial call was scheduled for 15 minutes, and I presumed it would be the usual screening call.
The meeting turned out to be not a screening call but an interview with the hiring manager. It was obvious that 15 minutes would not be enough for this type of interview, and that proved to be true: we barely had time to go over a few of the hiring manager's questions, and they didn't leave time for mine.
The hiring manager said that they would be in touch to let me know about next steps, but after three weeks of waiting to hear back from them and two follow-up emails from me, I didn't receive a response—they just ghosted me!
The company should be mindful about people's time and have the decency of responding to follow-up emails. It's OK to reply saying "we are still making our decision and it's going to take us X amount of days before making it final".
