I was contacted within a few hours after application. A few days later I had a pleasant discussion with a HR representative. And then the long wait began. The HR lady left the company to pursue another career, and the person now handling my process was nice, but hiding a big secret for weeks and weeks. The problem was, there was no office in Lisbon, nor a site manager (this non-existing manager was referred to as 'the guy') so there was nothing in the foreseeable future to discuss. I then decided to lodge for the open position of site manager (naturally I am qualified), but was totally ignored by my contact; my emails remained deaf. So I wrote him an alarm bell I was considering to publish this amateuristic behavior and his lack of empathy on this site. Instantly I received an apology and was asked about my ideas about the hiring process of an employee. After sending my recommendations - here I was his tutor - he sent me a rejection note in which he personnally changed the requirements of both positions. I find this appalling. If this is company culture, I am not sure PagerDuty will overcome last year's financial debacle.

Zoom call. They were really nice and actually got back to me. More than I can say for a lot of companies days (although they were pretty slow). All in all, I was happy with the way I was treated.
