      Entretien

I applied online and received a call from a recruiter a few days later. He asked how far away I lived, asked if I would be ok with the hourly pay and hours per week I would work. They asked me to complete an online assessment, which is a personality assessment basically. After completing this, I received a call from another recruiter about 3 weeks later. She asked me questions about my previous work experience and sales experience. She also asked why I want the position and if the pay and hours were agreeable. At the end of the interview she let me know that if chosen for an interview with the bank manager, I would receive a call from him. The bank manager called the next day to schedule that interview. After being introduced to the interviewers (bank manager and teller supervisor), they asked me about myself and my resume. During the interview they asked situational questions regarding how I handled difficult situations with coworkers and customers, and about my sales experience. They asked why I wanted to work there and explained how they like to work together and what they expected of their employees. They also explained the opportunities that I could take advantage of as an employee there. It lasted about an hour. I received a call a day later from the recruiter who had done my second phone interview. She offered me the job and gave me my start date and training information. It was all sent to me in writing via email and she was very friendly and asked me to call her with any questions. The original email had the wrong training location and I had questions as to dress code which I called about and she was very helpful and easy to work with. The only negative is that my interview with the branch was October 15th, my acceptance was on the 17th, and my orientation and training were not scheduled until Nov. 19th. Training is over the holiday week of Thanksgiving. I would have liked to start training sooner. It's a long wait, but the company seems very good at taking time to train their employees and welcoming. The branch employees are pleasant and like to think of each other as a family which is a big reason I chose PNC.

I applied online but received an email from the Assistant Vice President/Recruiter in Indiana that I'd passed the teller assessment. That email had no signature, there were punctuation errors and she didn't identify herself so it came off unprofessional. Over a week/two weeks she didn't get back to me until she called me for a phone screening and it didn't seem like it was a serious offer. Then I spoke with the manager of the branch and ultimately the manager was way more professional than the HR talent rep I spoke to. I don't know if everyone deals with unprofessional behavior from the HR rep but it seems like may have been racially discriminating.

Had an over the phone interview with the recruiting/HR person that called me. Lasted about 25 minutes. About a week later I got a call to schedule an in person interview with the branch manager. The interview at the branch was amazing. Very easy going interview. Only thing that caught me off guard was they asked me to sell them a pen that they had to see if I could sell or not, but it was easy. About 3-5 days later I called to see if they had made a decision and the branch manager told me they hadn't but that my name was up there with the rest of them, all while in reality they had chosen me but couldn't tell me while I called lol. Got a call about an hour later from the recruiter asking if I would like to accept the job. Very easy hiring/interview process.

It was a group interview. There were four candidates and three current staffers--the hiring HR rep, the bank manager, and the assistant bank manager. All questions were posed to all candidates and we had to take turns answering. It was more like a focus group than an interview. I had no phone screen, just an email saying "be here at this time to do an interview."
