      Entretien

There was a traditional interview scheduled at a career fair. Then potential hires were invited to a Superday where once again we were interviewed for a specific internship and offered a chance to network.

J'ai passé un entretien chez PNC Financial Services Group (Pittsburgh, PA) en nov. 2012

      Entretien

PNC did not recruit at my university at the time, so I just applied on their career website. Very quick turnaround on the phone interview, which was extremely basic. Was asked for my major, GPA, why are you interested in finance, why PNC, what part of the internship are you interested in (Capital Markets, C&IB, or Treasury Management), etc. It then took a few weeks for them to get back to me re: final round, but was flown up to Pittsburgh on a Thursday. Cocktail reception at a nearby hotel the night before to meet as many people as possible and learn about the bank and stuff. The next morning they had a breakfast reception prior to the interviews at the same hotel. I had three 2:1 interviews and one 1:1 interview. The vast majority of questions were fit or resume-based. In fact, two of my four interviews were essentially just conversations about my background and about the internship program. Was asked the following: 1. Talk about a time where you had to used negotiation skills. 2. What do you think about the current state of the banking industry? 3. Tell me about a time when you failed and how you've learned from that experience. 4. How do you get your financial news, and what current events have you been following? 5. What is the most important line item in any of the three financial statements that you'd look at before deciding to invest in that company?

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

How does net income flow through the three financial statements?
