J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez PIMCO (Newport Beach, CA)
Entretien
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter to come into the office. The interview was scheduled for the entire morning. I met with about 8 different people in 30 minute mini-interviews in person (Newport Beach, CA) and via webconference (New York). At the end of the interview process, I sat down with the recruiter and discussed what I had learned about the company, if I felt it was the right fit, and the next steps in the process. She informed me I would be contacted within 2 weeks.

Question 1
I think the most difficult thing was that they tried to pack all the interviews into one morning. I had essentially about 8 mini-interviews that lasted 30 minutes long each. I felt very rushed and really did not feel like it was adequate time for me to ask questions. It felt like what I imagine speed dating is like, but for a job.

HR almost sent me same assessment twice. Reached me 6AM on a National holiday demanding same day response (before noon) and gave interview notice 3 hours before 4 rounds of panel interview without any options for me to confirm or reschedule. Assessment was really easy but I doubt the overall logistics of this company.

This was my first one-way interview so I did not know what to expect exactly. The system restarted itself a few times without any notification in the middle of my response. It was not a great experience.

Weird interview.
A recruiter reached out to me to tell me they had an urgent opening. During one of the calls, the hiring manager said that this was going to a long time. They had a lot of candidates.
The interviewers felt forced to be there. I honestly don't believe they knew about the interview. Probably got added last minute or something.
I am kind of glad they took so long to make their decision. After the interview, I realized this team was not the right team for me.
I have friends at PIMCO and they love it. I will do more research before applying to positions like this one.
