      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez PDW (Hull, England) en avr. 2025

      Entretien

My application was followed us by a brief follow up call that was largely to see what my passion was for the role, rather than much else. A few weeks after the call I was contacted out of the blue with a message to ask me to make a 'Test Reel' for the company to prove my abilities (after already providing the company with my online portfolio and CV). They would supply the footage and I would edit. This is often seen as an industry 'red flag' and I had a few questions regarding the process. The questions were answered but seemingly with some suspicion of me. I was told the footage would be available to download by the Friday. So I kept aside some free time to look at the footage and see what I could make. The footage was never fully uploaded and I had wasted my time. By the Monday I was informed that their internet was too slow to upload the footage and it wouldn't be too long now. No follow up was made to inform me that they had finished the upload and I could download it. Eventually with my other work I had no extra time to download and edit their requested footage, and informed them about this (knowing and accepting that I would have to withdraw my application as this was a 'key step' for Protection Dogs Worldwide). The response was not too accepting and I was told that I was "the first person to kick up a fuss" and that "this right here is why we go through this process - to weedle out the people who lack the qualities to match our team". Perhaps the red flags are to be a warning to others of the teams qualities.

      Question 1

There were many questions asked during my interview, but the main criteria was based off my desire and drive to work (post technical questions).
