The process began with an online application, followed by a phone screen with the HR manager. That was followed almost immediately by a panel interview with the hiring manager and three prospective peers. I was then asked to complete a writing exercise. Seven weeks passed between the first and a subsequent panel interview, the latter with the position's direct reports. I was notified about three weeks after that second panel interview that the organization selected another candidate for the position.
