Contacted via email by HR staff a couple days after submitting. Offered a date and time for an interview. On acceptance, they sent directions and told to plan time for the interview as well as 2 hr for a skill assessment. Day-of, was interviewed by the head of HR and the Chief of Staff. As with the other Copywriter review already posted here 02/2022, I can confirm as of 12/2022 that the staff do not really have a clear slate of questions. The COS gave a full introduction (like a full bio and career overview) and asked for my background. After that, it seemed like there were 3 or 4 distinct questions, and the rest spawned from my answers or from my own questions during the last phase. When I asked about compensation, they came in far under what I had requested in my submission. They noted that the full interview process consisted of the initial and 2 follow-up interviews, as well as an assessment. After the interview was complete, they said something about a 40-question assessment and how they weren’t sure whether to give it before or after the interview. As we had just completed the interview, I assumed they would provide me with the assessment at that time. There was an awkward moment and then they did not provide it. They instead asked if I had time for a quick tour of the office, then we parted ways. Was surprised but thought either they had quietly agreed to reject me immediately or intended to send me the assessment later. Two days later was offered a second interview (I declined). The other interview review posted here is quite correct—staff don’t have a clear idea of what they’re looking for or of how to interview for or properly staff for their needs. Staff made it clear they were hiring only one Copywriter. Copywriter was to share an office with another staff member. While they teased that the work may be allowed to proceed in a hybrid capacity, the first 6-mo probationary period is guaranteed to require daily presence in the downtown office. After that, hybrid/remote work is not at all promised. Travel to satellite offices also seemed to be required.

Asked questions pertaining to my experience and sussed out how I would mesh with the current employees. Was conducted over Teams and lasted about 20 minutes. Nice interviewers, but seemed like they didn’t have much to ask. Requested I complete a “homework assignment” and rewrite a section of the website to gauge my competence.
Completed it over the weekend while working my current job. Turned it in with a follow up email and was told when I’d hear something back. Never heard anything back. A generic rejection email would’ve sufficed.
