The interview process was a background discussion with a recruiter over the phone, technical interview with a VCISO over the phone, followed by a skype meeting with the hiring manager.
The initial interview with the recruiter went exceedingly well. I was asked the best times I could have a technical discussion with the VCISO. The VCISO didn't show up to the first appointed meeting time and didn't give any email or call to update me they were busy. Upon working with the recruiter we were able to set up another time for the technical interview. After crushing the technical interview the recruiter gave me a list of times I could have a skype interview with the hiring manager. The skype interview was personality based andwas not technical. The hiring manager seemed as if he was not confident with technical concepts.
A day after the skype interview with the hiring manager the recruiter reached out to me to move forward with an on-campus interview to meet the team! After replying with enthusiasm about the possibility to join the Optiv team I never heard from them again. I tried to call and email the recruiter and hiring manager and never recieved a response. Two months later I recieved a generic email that my skill set didn't match what they were looking for. Very unprofessional.
