This was one of the strangest interview experiences I’ve ever had. After applying for the role I received an interview invitation a month later. The interview process consists of an initial interview with two HR representatives and the reporting manager. The atmosphere felt cold and uncomfortable, and the format resembled more of a “hot seat” exercise, with questions fired rapidly rather than a balanced conversation.
During the interview, none of the company’s stated qualities around being friendly, energetic, collaborative, and engaging were reflected in the interaction. There was also a lack of transparency around key aspects of the role. The working schedule was unclear, with references to three or possibly more days in the office. Similarly, when discussing salary expectations, there was little clarity about the compensation package, despite being asked for salary expectations.
The job posting has around 24 applications on LinkedIn, and the company appears to lack diversity. Do with that information as you will. Personally, it’s important to feel that a workplace is both welcoming and inclusive.
At the end of the interview you are told that it could take another two weeks "or so" to hear back, that it might involve HR again, or perhaps it may be one or two additional interviews. This indicates that there is not a clear process in place.
