      Entretien

I am a .NET Developer and Architect with 7 years of experience. 3 different Recruiters from SmartIT contacted me about the same positions......on the same day. Do you not have a database. Anyway, I ultimately, spoke with the final Recruiter who reached out via LinkedIn. I was a little shocked at how condescending and arrogant he was, especially after seeing that he only had about 3 years of experience. He pitched 3 different opportunities and I asked that he only submit my resume to one, because I was very interested in the client. 2 days later I find out from an ex-colleague that I was submitted to one that I did not give permission to. I also caught him lying about submitting me to the one client I was interested in, because my friend is in HR there. What an awful way of working seasoned resources open to positions in the market. Nevertheless, I ended up getting the job direct at the client I wanted thanks to my friend and me following up on my own. I wrote the recruiter expressing my unhappiness on how things were handled but never heard back. The company I went to work for had just hired another Sr. .NET Developer who was working at SmartIT and later explained what a disaster it had been working there and how thankful he was to be gone. What goes around, comes around I guess. Word of advice: if you are a seasoned Developer, I would let the phone ring if you see them come up on caller ID.......or it could have just been my experience with a blowhard recruiter who was more interested in hearing himself speak.

Thanks for posting. I'm disappointed to learn this was your experience with our organization - and welcome the opportunity to correct this, through corrective action and/or training. Organizationally - we have procedures in place which require all recruiters to verify with all candidates in writing anytime their resume is submitted to any and every end-client, to avoid instances like those mentioned above. It's baffling those procedures weren't followed -(and why would submitting your resume to a place you specifically didn't want to be submitted even be a good idea - since it wouldn't yield any results?!). Sorry about that. I would appreciate the opportunity to learn more specifics. Please email me directly at kfindley@onebridge.tech, or at a minimum feel free to forward me the email you sent to the recruiter expressing your unhappiness so I can follow-up and resolve on my end. Thanks for your willingness to help remedy this. I look forward to your insight.
