My first review for any company. Not a bad experience but something you would consider weird. It just showed that the company or some of it's people do not have business ethics. The phone interview with HR was fine. Moved on to on-site interview really quickly. The scheduled interviewed from 9am - 1:30 with no lunch break. Where is the basic business courtesy? I thought they were rather ignorant if they did not seem to notice that they did not include a lunch on the interview schedule and also did not notice that I was just left there in the conference room waiting for each interviewer to come in, when their office is very small and should have noticed that. Why I did not complain? What applicant would? I was not that hungry. The interview was ok. Nothing difficult or special. Just interviewers reading from a set of questions. Not very business-like. Mostly self-conscious. They kept on saying they are busy and fast-paced but nothing in their demeanor show this. Seems so behind the times. The only interesting interview was with HR Manager. He seemed to be the only one who understands business behavior and have people skills. The hiring manager is a Senior Manager over 6 people? Why would they need a manager and senior overseeing 6 people? If I was hired, my first job is to cut one of the managers and that will not be me. :-) She gave me her business card and told me to call and email her with questions and concerns. I did but she never answered. What was the point of giving me her business card? I did not ask for one, I did not need one. I thought I was giving her business courtesy by sending a quick email. Rather naive. So, they did not offer me the job and that is fine. I can take it. The salary is much smaller than what I make now anyway. I just wanted to work in a smaller company and be near a beach. What I could not understand is why they could not tell me straight. No formal rejection letter. They went on with several reasons, have not made any decision yet, they're offering it to a local candidate but nothing is final yet. Then they re-posted the job. Until this point, they still have not told me that I did not get it. Still said, nothing is final. So for closure, I had to say something to them. If they can't be a leader or a grown-up about it, well, I can.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

One manager had to say "since you always have to depend on other people to make decisions at work with your current company, how do you contribute to making decisions?". I never said I had to depend on other people to make a decision. I said, "the decision is made by a lot of people and we had to go with a unanimous or majority". Geez, we are talking about billion dollars. not 10 thousand!

After the recruiter call, there were three rounds. The first with the hiring manager, and the other two with would-be peers. The hiring manager began with an introduction, his role, background with the company, then asked about my background and personal interests. Of course, why am I looking, and why Omnicell. From there, it was tell me about a time type of questions. Very comfortable, conversational. He was clearly looking for behaviors. After concluding the questioning, he explained the team function and dynamic, why they are hiring, and what he would need from me if selected. Second round with would-be peer opened similarly to the first, and the approach and vibe matched the first. After the questions I was told about some of the challenges the org is currently facing and asked specifically how I would work to approach them, what's my 30/60/90 thought process. Third opened like the first two, and the conversation was also much the same. This time I was told what is working well with the team, then pivoted into challenges (some different ones mentioned than in the second round), again asked how I would approach them.

I was just processed, but my candicacy was not taken seriously. Every step of the process was done from phone screen, in person interview, to offer letter, hire date, to Vice President approval, filling out the I-9, W2, etc. But, never got onboard. Looks like recruiter will delay at every opportune moment. They will say they will call you tomorrow. That to them means they will call you in "5" weeks. Maybe they are hourly contractors milking it, not sure.
