So after I applied about a week later, I got a call and it turned out to be Old Navy with a surprise phone interview. It literally came out of nowhere and it's about 10 minutes. At the end, she told me they were having an Audition, which is Old Navy speak for interview and that I should dress to impress, and bring something that I'm passionate about/ something that represents me. The interview also happened to be at 7:00 am because it was a stock associate position. When we showed up the supervisor told us that it was actually the first test and that out of the 15 people who agreed to come, only us five had made it through. During the audition he mainly talked about the history and all that but he'd also through out little trivia questions, so make sure you know at least one fact about the company's history and also a random fact; like their sustainability plans or their work in the community. Just prove that you've done the research. Next came the show and tell, and here, I think, they just want to see that you can engage in conversation with other people. For example, I showed what I brought, and then the supervisor asked me a couple questions and we went back and forth. Then after that, they put us to work. We actually started doing shipment work, and while we were doing that the supervisor would pull aside workers and ask them about how we were doing. If you don't get something, ASK questions, show that you're willing to learn. One by one the people I'd interviewed with left, finally I was called in to speak with the Store Manager, asked a few simple questions--tell me something you admire about your best friend, etc; before I was offered the job.
