J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Okta en sept. 2025
Entretien
Standard big tech interview process. It was 7/8 rounds total. Recruiter call, HM call, 3-person panel, presentation to a group of 3, then VP interview. The recruiter was great throughout; overall had a very good experience until the very end. Very unprofessional behavior at the end. Was given a verbal offer on a Friday, and by Monday (had a call to review the offer) was told that the recruiting team was blindsided by an internal candidate and they had been hired. Recruiter said that this was not normal practice, and they weren't even aware of the person taking the role, as they didn't go through the normal protocol with external candidates. No feedback given outside of "you did excellent, it was just given to an internal candidate". Just a ridiculously disappointing experience, and felt very unprofessional at the end.

The recruiter was certainly playing games, appearing to focus on hitting targets, then sharing information about the potential job. It was very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth about Okta.
If someone is not suited for the role, do not waste their time. Be upfront and honest. It saves both people time.

Simple process, lots of talking about themselves, but the recruiter ghosted me. Did not ask difficult questions, and it felt like they had no idea what they needed from the next candidate or what that role would entail. This would be the second time I've interviewed for a position here and both times, the interview process felt like a waste of time with people who were just yes men/women.
