TL;DR: to me, reeked of sexism, glad I didn't get this offer
I went through the whole interview process, and did very well overall on the technical components and the presentation on my experiences. However, there was not a single woman involved in the interview process (not to mention, not a single person of color). During my final round, I found the interviewers disrespectful, given that they seemed tired and disinterested. After describing one project in which I automated an AWS pipeline, one interviewer actually asked me "have you ever used AWS?" -- clearly, they weren't listening. My interview with the senior leader was even worse, in that while he was "nice", he came across as condescending. In the end, of course, I was not offered a role, because that senior leader "could not see me in such a senior role" -- even though the other person in the parallel role to mine had the same years of experience, and even though my degree is more advanced than his is. Supposedly, according to that senior leader's claim, my coding interview could have gone better -- except that, in front of my eyes, all the tests successfully compiled. Having lived on this planet long enough, I know what really did me in was that I'm a woman trying to join an all-male team, a woman who looks young too.
The experience was so negative for me that I actually could not bring myself to interview elsewhere for a while. In the end, though, I found a role in a team and company that is considerably more diverse, and I'm doing really well here, so I'm glad I wasn't tempted by an offer.
