My experience with the recruitment process reflected a clear lack of respect for candidates’ time, despite the professionalism of individual team members.
For the first role, I progressed to the final stage, which involved completing a research task followed by an interview in mid-December 2025. The team I interacted with were polite and personable throughout. However, I was informed that further interviews would take place in the first week of January. In reality, this left me in limbo not only over the festive holiday period but well into the new year, with no meaningful communication or update on timelines. I ultimately did not receive feedback until late January via my agent. While they noted they were impressed with my performance, I was told I would be better suited to a role in a different department.
Acting on this feedback, I applied for a position in that recommended department in March. I was subsequently emailed and invited to interview. However, after I responded to accept the interview, I received a follow-up email two days later stating that the role had already been filled.
This sequence of events was disappointing and suggests a lack of coordination and consideration in the hiring process. While the individuals I engaged with were courteous, the overall experience felt disorganised and ultimately unprofessional.
