Disorganized Process and No Follow-Up
I interviewed for a high-level marketing role at OPSWAT and had a total of four interviews. Unfortunately, the process was disorganized from the start. The recruiter had difficulty scheduling and following through, even after I made time during my vacation to accommodate them.
I provided a comprehensive portfolio, including quarterly and annual reports from my current role, to demonstrate past successes. They later asked me to create a high-level marketing campaign plan for one of their current products. While I understand the need to evaluate strategy skills, this felt like free work. I spent 3–4 hours putting together a detailed mockup, including three platform-specific strategies.
Despite the effort I put in, I never received any feedback on the campaign or otherwise. No rejection notice. No thank you. Nothing. Just silence.
If you’re considering applying, be prepared for a time-consuming process with little regard for your effort or time. The lack of basic professionalism in closing the loop made this a disappointing and frustrating experience.
