      The process was smooth and HR was very helpful. They asked a couple of basic questions and was then scheduled for a second interview. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful.

      Waited for 3 weeks to receive the phone interview, then followed by 6 weeks painful wait to get the email for an in-person interview. I have invested a lot of time to understand the job functions and company profile. I am pretty confident that I was fully prepared for the interview. Sadly, the interviewers did not ask me anything that I was prepared. TO THE MANAGEMENT: Your hiring process should be more efficient, and don't judge a book by its cover! I was told that OEC is one of the better companies in the logistics industry in the NY metro area. The company claimed to be an equal opportunity employer. I am a middle-aged person looking for a career change to land a stable job willing to start from blank and not even care about the low starting salary. Apparently, I was wrong. OEC only wants to hire younger people. I have researched the company jobs hiring for quite some time now. Because you do not consider middle-aged employees, all your hiring of young employees don't stay long, and you have an extremely high turn over rates. The same job that I was applying has been on the market 3 times in 7 months. That's a big problem! I strongly suggest don't judge a book by its cover. Give middle-aged applicants a chance. They might just be the right faithful employees who are willing to give all to the company. Wish you the best of luck in the future.
