It started with a phone call with a recruiter, general questions about past experience and your typical first call things. After this I was asked to do a code challenge to deliver within 10 days, the challenge was fun, I included tests and some good documentation with examples. The next step was an on-site interview in Mexico City that consisted on three parts, the first was architecture interview where I was asked to design a scalable system for a problem presented, the second interview was a Cultural and Behavior with detailed questions about past experiences, the last step was a pair programming session where I worked on the code I submitted initially, I was asked to add more features, I asked if I could add tests to my code while doing the feature, the interviewer seemed pleased. I felt very good during the interview, at first I was nervous but everyone is super friendly, the interviews are not setup to put you in the spot like usual tech companies do. After my onsite interview I heard back from them in a week, they asked me to learn Clojure and to complete a challenge using Clojure. I did it in two weeks. After not hearing from them in two weeks I sent an email, they said they were still reviewing my code, but I ended up taking another offer. I was really looking forward to joining the company, but the slow process really turned me down.
