The people in the company are really great. I lacked trust in the local leadership of the Houston Office. At the beginning of my time with the company there was a real feeling of ownership at all levels of the team. As new leadership came in, it began to feel more like and Accenture Office...you were only included in decisions/leadership if you were a Pricipal or above. The hiring process included three interviews and some light personality testing.

Required an experience where I had sold business in a consulting environment, which was limited for me.

One of the most unprofessional companies I should e ever interacted with! North Highland contacted me for a role they were looking to fill. Got the typical bs of how excited they were to speak with me etc... and then dead silence. The HR guy dropped the ball!
A few months later another HR person reaches out. I ask her what happened to the previous conversation and she promises to follow up. Turns out the previous HR guy was moving or something and simply dropped the ball! So I give this lady a chance.... she sets up another call and had me speak to a Partner. Have a great conversation and then dead silence. I’m like this is dejavu....... turns out the guy left the company shortly after!
Round 3 I get contacted by yet another new HR person. I tell her about my past experiences and she apologizes etc. I’m very wary of the company at this point, but she gives me the typical BS of how awesome they are and that she is sorry they dropped the ball the last 2 times. So she sets up a call with another Senior Manager and tells me she is setting time up with a Partner. The SM never shows up for the scheduled interview call.... and I’ve just had it with them....
if they are so unprofessional with recruiting senior talent, then I wonder how horrible they are to work with on a daily basis! NH is definitely on my blacklist of companies to never engage with!!

1:1s with team members spaced out over two months with no communication between each interview. One of the interviewers was looking out of the window most of the time and didn't seem to be very concerned with anything. Another interviewer had a huge ego even though they never did any real 'consulting' work. There are so many other great firms to work for who aren't snobby and arrogant. I would stay away from this place as they will waste your time.

One day of 45 minute interviews with the managing office VP, two office VP's, and a Manager. I also had lunch with fellow Principals and Senior Managers. The interviews were conversational and somewhat relaxed, but at the end of the day, it was an interview and preparation paid off.
