Noom has a stringent hiring process.
There were multiple steps in their hiring process. You do an assessment and a recorded statement initially. It took me a couple weeks to hear from that. Then I was asked to do a Mock Coaching session and that's where you need to put on your game face. You will be required to coach a mock client named Sam who is designed to be uncoachable. However, if you've been trained in MI and OARS, just stick to the models like glue! Sam will definitely not be easy, but if you know your content, you should pass with flying colors.
The final interview phase is a face to face interview with a hiring manager. If you've done well so far and make it here, just know you've made the cut and be yourself.
If you're applying to be a coach because you think it will be an awesome work from home opportunity with an easy set of responsibilities, you're doing yourself and your potential clients a disservice. Coaching is not telling others what to do and I recommend looking up everything you can on motivational interviewing and the OARS method prior to applying.
A lot of these reviews make Noom out to be too harsh and I just didn't experience that and want to assure anyone who was like me. If you see people say Sam was "difficult" or "annoying", there's a reason they weren't selected and Noom is very good at vetting candidates who are not equipped to be a health coach.

Question 1
Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
