The interview process is all fine until the mock coaching trial. You have to coach “Sam” a 40-something year old woman who wants to be healthier. Except she has zero interest in changing ANYTHING about her habits. The interviewer playing Sam makes it impossible to do anything but interrogate Sam about her motivations and lifestyle, the answer to which is always the same “my schedule is hectic” “I’m too busy” “Making changes isn’t practical right now” OR she will straight up ignore your questions completely and say something else unrelated. It is incredibly frustrating and no real client who is paying money for Noom would act this way. It’s completely ridiculous. Horrible interview style, it is very unclear what they’re looking for in a coach, as even when you do what they say, you don’t get the job. Don’t waste your time like I did.

After submitting a self-recorded video introducing yourself, if accepted, you are invited to a video interview. The conversation explores your background, education and experience, as well as goals for your career. It was relaxed but professional.

Question 1
Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this position?
A few rounds of interviews with leadership and then presented with a case study for a theoretical user of Noom of how to assist them through menu selection at a popular restaurant chain.
Interview process included a mock interview (digital) and a virtual 1:1 meeting with a Heath Coach. My 1:1 meeting ended up being a phone call rather than a virtual meeting.
