I applied via LinkedIn without knowing who the company was. Received an email offering a phone interview giving me 3 hours to prepare after finding out the company name. It was at this point that I also realised that their salary expectations for the role were seriously below market average. Attended a telephone interview with a man who had a persistent cough and who wasn't particularly interested in asking any questions or finding out anything about me. He made no attempt to sell the benefits of either the role or the company to me, instead opting mostly to complain about his development team and how the processes are very manual. Despite this, the chap with the cough was impressed with me enough to move forward. At this point I was then offered a face-to-face interview (during a global pandemic!), which I turned down at this point. Out of five interviews I've taken part in during this pandemic, Netpay was the only one who requested I attend in person.
