The longest and the most confusing interview of my life. The first round was with the CEO which was a behavioral round. Next round of interview was a problem solving exercise which was asked to be done at home and create a ppt which needs to be emailed. I didn’t receive any communication after the first technical round despite me explaining how long it’s been and my OPT situation. I was asked to solve yet another technical problem and present finding from both the problem. After the interview the CEO reached out to me to ask for references and some documents. My references had a general talk with people at the company. After that the CEO reached out to me stating the role has changed a bit and they needed someone who can do data Analysis as well as web design but with the same title and compensation. Since I had CS background I was excited to learn and was very ho eat about my visa deadline and skills. I received no more communications and was rejected 2 days earlier than my visa deadline. This company literally wasted last 6 months of my visa and time and I would not recommend it to anyone. PS - I agree that I wasn’t the best person for the role but atleast I was wasting precious resources of a person in need. Worst management for an interview process.
