Applied for the job in September and received a call from a recruiter for an interview in January. The talk with recruiter was friendly and easy going and interview was set up for the next day. After waiting an 1 hour and 15 mins after my interview was to start i was greeted by two interviewers one was friendly and apologetic for their lateness. The other didn't say much of anything aside from the two questions he asked me from his worksheet. After multiple apologies, explanations and handshakes we got into what seemed to be a rushed but friendly interview starting with telling a little about myself and went into him telling me about the company and the many things they had on the campus. This was followed by the two taking turns asking four different scenario questions from a standard printed list and them taking notes of my answers. Questions included what i would do if the person was upset and wanted calls to stop but couldn't make payments, (promise to pay) and what i would do if person couldn't make payment but was working towards making one (deferment). I was given a card and told to call in a couple of days if i didn't hear anything. After two days of calling and not receiving a call back, I finally got in contact with the recruiter who informed me I "should have" received an email which I never did and that I was not chosen because I was too soft spoken.

      Question 1

The most difficult part was waiting an hour and fifteen minutes after the interview was scheduled to start and keeping a smile on my face. Asking me to tell a little about myself kind of caught me off guard but none of the other questions were difficult or unexpected. I'm not quite sure what they mean by soft spoken since it is basically a question and answer session. Maybe my friendly voice is a little too friendly. I'll have to work on that.

The process was pretty easy and straight forward. The main thing is knowing the description of your job title as well how well you are with customer service. Navy Federal surround their values on their members so customer service is key.

I was scheduled for the interview through Aerotek. Got there 15 minutes early. I was interview by two males. One use to be a correctional officer and the other had “a series of jobs”. They ask more situational/behavior questions than questions on your skills and potential. Lasted only 15-20 minutes. I used my opportunity to ask them all the questions that I wasn’t informed of already in the job description or the company in general. Next day my recruiter called and let me know it was a decent interview but I was unprofessional due to me reading my questions off my phone and asking them quite a few questions. I wasn’t intimidated at all although I felt a little bias coming from them since I was a female.

I submitted my application online and received an assessment, on the assessment you’re going to have situational questions that pertain to your job, at the end there are questions that you have to answer by recording them. So be prepared for those. I received a call after my assessment within 3 days to come in for an interview. The interviews are TOUGH. They’re behavioral type questions. I would encourage you to prepare for about two days, research behavioral interviews on YouTube, and the STAR method. Those helped me a lot. But most importantly go in there with confidence, and be yourself! Laugh a little with the interviewers. Show that you’re really there to help people. This was my second time interviewing for NFCU and the first time I wasn’t prepared and I did really bad. You’ll hear back from them fairly quick. Good luck to those interviewing! You got this!!
