      Entretien

I applied online and was contacted via email a few days later stating that I met the minimum qualifications for the position. I was then asked to complete the background check information, a pre-screen application, and a data entry skills assessment. About a week went by and I heard nothing. I was then contacted by one of the regional recruiting specialists and conducting a phone interview that lasted roughly 20 minutes. At the end of the phone interview, I was asked to set up an in-person interview at the local Nationwide office where I would be seeking employment. My in person interview was for a week later. I attended the interview and believe I did well, even answering some questions that were difficult to answer given my background. I was interviewed by three people: one person was from HR, the other was a supervisor from the department in which I would hopefully work, and the other was a hiring supervisor at one of their other locations (she was there via the phone). I thought I handled the interview well and was told I would be contacted within a week, regardless if they chose to hire me or not. A little over a week went by, and I've heard nothing, not even a word from the two recruiters I went through (even though I contacted them via email a couple days later). Needless to say, I have not heard back from them at this point, in which I'm extremely disappointed because it seemed like a perfect fit for my skills and degree.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Most of the questions were of the "Tell me about a time when you had to..." variety (STAR: Situation, Task, Action, Result). You also are given a folder at the beginning and you have to choose 3 words, out of 9 possible, that best describe you, and you are asked to explain why you chose each one of them. Another question was why am I interested in the insurance industry? (Answer I gave below).

Applied online through nationwide.com. I received an email the next day for an online assessment. It was like a test, to see your knowledge with computer and personality stuff. The next day I received a call from the recruiter to schedule a phone interview for the following day. I had the phone interview on a Thursday and immediately on that was scheduled for an in person interview the following Monday. The phone and inperson interview use the STAR method. The in person was about 1 1/2 hrs long. They did 6 STAR questions, went over my resume, then I sat with an employee for about 15 min. They asked me one more question and said they would call me, but it may be about 2 weeks before I hear anything.

      Question 1

There wasn't 1 specific hard question, but definitely know what STAR method means before you go and be detailed. They ask you a lot of followup questions for every original question.
