The interview was with a technical architect. The questions themselves were not very difficult, but the they were very obscure, mostly delving into very fringe cases, sometimes even concerning just a single syntax keyword.
As is often the case with Salesforce, there are multiple ways to tackle a question, but the interviewer was just looking for his preferred method.
