Interview was straightforward. Basic English and Maths and competency based interview. Interview was on the same day and was one to one session. Do background research on the company and the work they do.

Application process is all done via the NHS jobs website and involves filling out the usual personal information and then writing a short essay about how you meet the job requirements, your experience and career motivations/aspirations. If you are successful then you get invited via text/email to attend an interview. I was able to choose a slot that suited me from a choice of three different days and four different times on each. The interview process was friendly and quite informal although there were three interviewers which seemed a bit excessive for an entry-level job and the reception staff and the interviewers neglected to communicate with each other and so no one was told I had arrived until I prompted them. The questions were quite straightfoward and simple - the interviewers wrote notes as I answered each question and they laid out the plan for the interview beforehand. Afterwards I asked to have a look around the lab and was shown round by a very friendly member of staff and asked some questions about training to other employees. I was disappointed again with the lack of communication after the interview as they did not get in contact to tell me that I was unsuccessful, even when I wrote and asked for clarification.
