The whole interview process took 1.5 month. I had an interview over the phone, then a design task that was HUGE, then a face to face interview I had to travel to their offices to present my task. Then It took them very long to follow up and they sent me a second task. My CV was clear as to what experience I had, and even on the in person interview I specifically mentioned that if for this role it is crucial to learn 3D modelling I am happy to learn on the job. They stated that this was not a priority for this role as they had other people in the team that had this experience and that they had no problem for me to learn on the job. The task they assigned was to design a custom perfume bottle from scratch, show the moodboard, process, and also design a giftset for the perfume and other products. When I sent over my presentation and presented it to them in person, they really loved the designs and the only thing they said was that they wanted me to change the font on the bottle/box and also to include more inspo photos. So they asked me to rework on the task based on their feedback. After a couple of days when I sent back the revised task, they kept asking for the process of the 3D modelling of the bottle. I kept mentioning that as I have discussed with them in their office I don't yet have experience in 3D modelling and what I used was the Adobe Illustrator 3D function to create what I had in mind. It was not a mechanical design since I did not have that experience and they had stated it wasn't necessary. After a lot of back and forth and them really not understanding how I designed the bottle, they came back to me that they have now decided to change the role and it's now 3D focused. This was almost 2 months wasted time for me, and for a company this size that claim to be very organised, it sure didn't seem that way to me. I was very disappointed
