This was years ago, but still irritates me to no end just because of how rude it was. The interview went well, was pleasant enough. The stick in my gut is the way they rejected me. It was by letter with NO STAMP. Royal Mail notified me I had a letter to be delivered but postage wasn’t paid for so I had to pay the missing postage to receive a REJECTION letter from Next. Could have called.. Could have emailed.. Could have PAID FOR A STAMP. Appalling behaviour, SO glad I didn’t end up working for a company that thinks this is acceptable. Went and worked for M&S instead ;)

Online, very basic questions just getting to know you and a bit about your previous experience. They were clearly just looking for people who could function in a social environment, nothing too tricky.

Telephone interview and in-store assessment. Telephone interview was more a chat and along about availability. In-store assessment, we were asked to choose an outfit for a friend and explain what we chose and why. Then shown around the store and introduced to other staff members.
