I received an invite for a phone interview with a recruiter. The recruiter was 10 minutes late to the interview due to internet issues. They started by explaining the background of the company and what the job entailed. Asked me to explain what I have been doing professionally for the last 5-6 years. I began to explain my background and how I was currently employed at a small company. I was stopped immediately and asked " Sorry, how many people are at your current company?". Due to the fact that I was working for a small company, they felt that I was not right for the position because I did not have the large company environment experience. They felt like they should just stop the interview because I was not a right fit for what they were looking for. They wanted someone with experience from a large company. Then went on to say that if I applied around 2018 I would have been a great fit and I should try to apply again in a year once their restructure is complete. All of this took place within 8 minutes. I spoke about my experience for 3 of the 8 minutes before I was stopped. I find this to be a complete waste of my time and unprofessional. I was just at the start of my experience for my current position. I did not even get to explain how I started my career at a corporation with over 50,000 people. As someone who works in HR, I was truly shocked that a recruiter would not even let the candidate finish the questions asked of them before determining a decision to not "waste anyone's time". This is unfair to candidates who take the time to prepare as well as allot time into their schedules for an interview. I read terrible reviews beforehand about N26, but felt that everything is an opinion and I would go in with an open perspective. It is unfortunate that this was confirmed to me, just like the others have stated.

I applied in May for the HR Business Partner role with N26. I was approached by the Recruiter a couple of days later and I was booked for an interview. The interview went well and the Recruiter said that was going to send me to the second stage to met a member of the HR Team and that they were going to be in touch with me the week after with details. To my great surprise, I haven't heard back from them. Exactly a month after I received an email - to note that they have an automatic Scheduling Genius so the email is not coming directly from the Recruiter - saying that they wanted me to meet a member of the HR Team. No mention about the fact that they took a month to get back to me, anyway I decided to move forward and I booked the interview even though I was hesitant. The second interview went really well and a couple of hours after I received an email from the automatic Scheduling Genius saying that they moved me to the third interview with another member of the HR Team. I booked the interview and after about two minutes the Scheduling Genius told me that something went wrong and I had to re-book. I was able to book a slot for the interview eventually. On the day of the interview the member of the HR Team did not showed up. I've emailed the Recruiter and the Scheduling Genius twice. I did not get a response so I decided to wait on the call. After about 30 min I've sent an email to the Scheduling Genius confirming that no one showed up and finally someone told me that they were checking with the team on this. I haven't heard from them since. I was literally ghosted by the team and N26. First time I experience such unprofessionalism and disrespect for other people time. No matter what, you should always respect your candidates as they chose you and they're investing their own time to get a role with you. Employer branding and employee experience starts from here. N26 is currently massively investing on business expansion and marketing, I suggest you invest in your internal processes too. You really need to sort this out.
