      Entretien

I understand that this is a small startup, but regardless, the interview experience was very negative and unprofessional. Stage 1 was writing a paragraph critiquing their website and what could be improved (e.g. "Write a half page or paragraph report on what you don’t like about our product & how we could improve it"). As well as submitting a fairly simple React UI with certain requirements, which took approximately 3 hours to complete. The assignment was not difficult if you know basic React, e.g.: """ Design a booking app where you can choose the following The number of hours needed for the booking Date of booking Time of booking And then display the price of the booking at the end. The hourly price is $100 on Weekdays $150 on Weekends Feel free to use any library of your choice, as long as it’s React. Be as creative as you can for the design of the front-end. This exercise should take a maximum 4-5 hours of your time, so please factor in time accordingly. If it goes more than the prescribed time, just send it over to us. """ Stage 2 involved an interview with the CEO, Lucas, who missed the meeting, without notice, even though the interview time was booked well in advance. I reached out to reschedule and was able to successfully have an interview the second time. Interview was nothing out of the ordinary, except for he wanted to discuss the React UI assignment (from Stage 1). I did not have the assignment on hand, as I was using my work laptop for the interview call, but to my surprise neither did he. Which makes me wonder if the React assignment was even reviewed at all. Overall, a very poor interview experience due to the unprofessionalism of the CEO to miss the scheduled interview and a time-consuming assignment. MoveMate trying to imitate FANG-esque LeetCode interview questions with a React assignment was completely unnecessary. As well as asking for a critique on their website as an interview question is borderline comedic.
