Received a call from a recruiter the same day after applying online. Interview with the manager of the unit went extremely well, pretty standard interview questions. Answered my questions and seemed like a good fit. The manager explicitly said that they hoped I considered the position as much as they wanted me there. Said I would hear back within the week. Sent a thank you email to the manager after the interview and shortly after received a rejection email for the position. I respectfully reached out and asked for feedback regarding my interview and a week later the same manager asked if I still wanted the job. I said yes and the recruitment team was rushing me through the onboarding process, no one was available to contact with questions (emails were never answered, voicemails were never acknowledged nor returned). The whole process was overall very unpleasant and the flip-flopping with offers left a bad impression. I never officially accepted the job offer online and I’m honestly glad I didn’t if this is how they conduct themselves. Another colleague of mine had also applied to the same unit previously and had said the same thing of their whole onboarding process regarding its difficulty and inconvenience.
