This was a strange one. I met with 5 people at least. Not a single concern was brought up or expressed when asked. I made it all the way to the final stage, and same thing.
But then I got a dry rejection email.
When I dug and asked for more specifics they said that "my management style too closely mirrored the existing team". That's a new one. They never explained how it was different, and I couldn't disagree more. I come from a different background and share vastly different experiences. The only thing that was similar was challenges they were currently facing vs. what me facing them and overcoming them. Shouldn't that be a plus?
I don't know. Seems like something else was going on there and I didn't get an honest answer.
