After going through the interview process I was offered the role, but at a substantially lower salary than I had previously been informed by the in-house recruiter. I queried it and was told the recruiter had made a mistake, so I asked for the evening to think about the offer and if I could make it work. I called back the following day to discuss the offer in more detail but there was no answer, so after two calls I left a voicemail, to which I didn't hear back. Two days later I received a generic rejection email from the recruiter - even though I had been offered the role. Terrible experience.
