Entretien
I was reached out to by MongoDB recruitment after being found via linked in and asked if interested in applying for this role. The process was a series of interviews with both direct management along with some peer roles. There were no technical exercises or projects required for this application, however technical questions were asked during some of the interviews. This position is a new created position in MongoDB, as such the interviews were very 2-way and conversational. Certainly MongoDB was interested in proven track record, achievements and accomplishments. Some of the interviews were open discussions on opinions on best ways to do somethings, and then drilling down into experience into why they were good or bad etc. Overall the process was very smooth, though in my case lengthy. It was lengthy in part due to my own schedules during the interview period. The recruiter was excellent, professional and extremely knowledgable. She and the other interviewers were very patient to answer all my questions.

For most of the interviews the questions related to leading teams, managing people, involvement with customers and getting to understand my personal values and objectives.

Very well organised, well communicated and coordinated interviewing process. Lots of time and attention provided by a wide and diverse range of interviewers. Really great details shared on the company and what they are looking for in an employee during the process

Lots of questions on leadership qualities and how to help motivate and encourage employees which is really refreshing. A huge emphasis on how candidates will fit culturally within MongoDB which is a major positive focus for any new hire
