They want you to go into stores (sam's clubs) and malls and try to sell people products from the specific "clients" they work for. It has nothing to do with any actual "event managing" or planning. When I mentioned that this is not at all what I was looking for, and that I thought it was more of a desk job, with obvious set up and working the "event," she suggested that I wait to get back in touch in 2 weeks, because they were opening another location in a different city and there would be movement in the company and that I may possibly be able to apply for an HR position then.
