      A very outdated and CHEESY online interview process. Prior to my acceptance of this interview, I was phone texted by 3 different Miles IT recruiters within a 48 hours time span to complete online interview ASAP. First of all, Under New Jersey’s text message privacy law, A-617, businesses must get explicit permission before sending text messages stating that No person may send an unsolicited text messaging without first receiving permission from the intended recipient. That was Turn Off #1. I decided then to complete the interview as the CEO asked 10 non-Technical and Technical combined. The most stupid question ever asked by this CEO was, "did you like high school and what did you do out of high school"? That was over 40 years ago buddy! Seems these questions are a one size fits all approach no matter who is applying for this job, not good at all. Next Archaic question was, " How would you deploy an active directory server? Be as technical as possible.Tell me how you would set up Active directory from scratch for a business with 50 users and 3 locations. This indicates to me that there bread and butter comes from small and medium business with outdated LEGACY Systems( running Updates, Patches, FIXES, etc) and supporting outdated JUNKY networks. OHH! Yes, there is the invention of the CLOUD like Azure and AWS that makes this question OBSOLETE and would have been relevant 10 years ago before the CLOUD. Seems to me Miles IT is a LEGACY MSP firm looking for many billable hours on mostly Legacy systems that are slowly dying. A life without ON- PREM servers is already here! so DUMb interview question if your looking to attract the BEST TALENT.... Moving on, My word of advice to the CEO is to REDO all of the interview questions that is relevant to today's modern age unless you still want to attract POOR Legacy talent from the past which will be your RED Herring in a dying EGO System. the cheapest employees is not always the BEST as the salary is Far Below the US market rate 35-45K unless your outsouring to INDia which I see you already are,, Is this review all negative? No. there needs to be a change in the Miles IT WACK -A-MOLE thinking process for the future like a Modern MSP like Xerillion as there MSP business model is second to none. Compare the Two MSP's side by side and you decide who you want to work for. And last and not least, UPDATE your Linkedin photos and get rid of 6 people in a ROW BOAT out on a lake!! LOL!!!!! If your MSP is going anywhere, it should be a on a large scale yacht with you being present with your employess..

      1st round was pre-recorded 10 question interview to get to know who you are and some technical questions as well. 2nd round was with a hiring manager over video call, these are more about your experience and why you want to work with MilesIT.

      The interviews took a couple of weeks. Did a one-way interview where they had pre-recorded videos where you had to record your answers and then submit them. After a week or two I got an email back asking to select a date and time for a one-on-one interview. This interview was kinda standard, asked about my background, asked some relatively easy IT questions, and then had some time at the end to ask questions. My biggest gripe is that the interviewer was very relaxed while doing this. They were halfway in view of their webcam (bottom half of their face was off screen) and they were constantly rocking back and forth in their chair. They didn't put on a good, professional view of this company.
