Within two weeks of applying, a first interview was scheduled virtually on google meet in August 2023. It was very conversational, and natural feeling, in lieu of typical interview preparation. I believe it links to the start-up nature and expansion of the company. While I only had the initial interview, the process laid out was to be a case-study project, a presentation in front of a panel, then meeting the team, and finally meeting the CEO's. A very lengthy process. However, after the first interview I felt good, and followed up--hearing back 3 weeks later stating they paused the hiring process, and that it would likely re-open in October. I reached out, and have not heard anything since, acknowledging they may have just not wanted to be upfront. It's unfortunate, I really felt the role would have been a great fit both ways.
