I applied online. First a manager by the name of 'Raven' called and screened me after work hours around 7pm. They then sent me an interview package which included a short powershell scripting task which I had 3 days to do. I submitted it in and later on received an email for an invitation for an interview to their office in Woodlands. I went there, 3 round interview.
Mid-level associate, manager, then a dept head. Manager was nice but asked some discriminating questions "This script is really good, did you REALLY write it? Tell me the truth". Seriously? Really, you would ask that? If you think that was bad, the department head comes in and starts skimming through my university transcripts. "Why did you fail these 2 courses?" "So you blame the teachers for failing these courses?" Verbatim.
The manager comes back in and says ok that will be all, I think to convince the dept head, we would have to ask you to do another interview, this time a presentation on DNS on another day.
So I went home, still had hopes for the position and once again spent 6-7 hours on prepping for the presentation.
I came back again the next week and presented. The manager greeted me at the reception but this time he was acting slightly indifferent. I should have known by then they were never going to or had any semblance of any plans to hire me. Anyway I did the presentation as best as I could and the manager actually left before I was finished and I never saw that guy again. His associate walked me outside and when asked when I could expect an answer, he said he has no clue.
Out of the many interviews I've went to so far, it was by far and large, the single worst interview experience I had ever had. Micron will waste your time, don't invest too much effort in their so called tests and screening procedures. Take it how you will but that was my experience with them.
