The direct hiring manager reached out to me and did a prescreening interview. They gave me their direct contact information which was good as the application had to be redone again when HR sent a message stating the position was filled thanks for applying. If I didn't reach out, I wouldn't have known about the 2nd interview which was in person and me demonstrating my skills.
