J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Meta en mai 2022
Entretien
I came through an internal referral. The recruiter I worked with was great - responsive, flexible, helpful. The interview process consists of a recruiter phone screen, a hiring manager screen, a portfolio review, and a panel interview. They offer a “guide” for the process, which is good on the surface but in fact only serves to ensure you make yourself fit their very precise specifications for a candidate.
I did not proceed to the panel interview because I got the sense there was zero interest in me as a person or my experience. I got good feedback in the prep session for my portfolio review, but to make all the changes that were suggested would require me to completely change the way I communicate.
Overall, I’d say this was an uncomfortable experience.

The first interaction was a screening phone call with a recruiter that was a general conversation. A few days later the recruiter scheduled two 45m sessions: Standard mobile application critique & then a project portfolio deep dive.

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Meta en nov. 2020

Internal FB recruiter contacted me directly, out of the blue; I did not apply. Scheduled a 1:1 recruiting phone screen, then scheduled a 2 hour video & screen share interview, as back-to-back calls with two Product Designers.
The best word to describe those interviews is "insulting."
Both of the designers that were assigned to interview me were extremely junior,. Each of them had less than 4 years of experience working in design, less than 7 total years working in professional (post-college) jobs. One had been with FB for only 5 months.
By comparison, I've got 15+ years of experience in product design.
It was clear that neither had received any kind of training to be interviewers. Or perhaps they just ignored it. Neither were prepared in advance, either in terms of their questions or anything about me.
One interviewer got my name wrong 3 times in the first 10 minutes. I have a very simple name, and they weren't even close. (think: calling someone "Bob" when their name is James)
The other interviewer never made eye contact. Not once. For a video interview. They were staring at a different screen the entire time. Felt like they were doing work, or chatting with someone else, or playing a game.
It then took over 2 weeks to be notified that I would not be moving forward in the process (no surprise).
Zero feedback was provided.
