The interview process was very well structured and thoughtfully designed, with two distinct rounds covering behavioral and technical/fit dimensions. The behavioral interview felt conversational yet purposeful, allowing me to clearly articulate my experiences, motivations, and problem-solving approach while still being challenged with follow-up questions that tested depth and self-awareness. The technical/fit interview was equally strong, focusing less on rote problem-solving and more on how I think through systems, tradeoffs, and real-world applications of data science and engineering concepts. I appreciated that the interviewers were engaged and asked relevant, insightful questions that reflected the actual expectations of the program. Overall, the process felt professional, well-organized, and genuinely aligned with the kind of collaborative, applied environment I hope to be part of.

I applied online for this position. About two weeks went by and I got an email asking to set up a time to do an over the phone interview. The recruiter never called during the specified time, that they provided. After a couple emails, each one asking again for a phone number, they finally did call and the interview lasted for 4 questions. 1. was I legal to work in US. 2 Will I need a visa. 3 how much do I currently make. 4 what is my salary requirement. I told them 60k was my minimum, which is below national average, but after this she "noticed" that I will not be available for 3 months and ended the interview.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to translate business requirements into technical logic
The interview process was quick and transparent, the recruiter was great and explained all the steps. The second call was the hiring manager who was also a software engineer. He was very knowledgeable and any questions I didn’t know he made sure to explain what he was looking for. So I left the interview knowing more than when I started. Overall a great experience. I bombed the coding challenge but am better for it.
