There were five one hour meetings, each with two individual engineers or next higher level director. I also met with the department head. A final meeting with 4 engineers/directors was followed by a closing meeting with a Human Resources representative. Overall, the interview was friendly, professional, thorough (in terms of my knowledge) and challenging through the use of situational questions. I was able to ask about the position and work environment. I had been a contract worker for 3 months so most of the interviewers were aware of the work I had done and may have been favorably disposed towards my application although I was competing with other contract workers and presumably outside applicants for the position.

The interview was with four to five people for 45 minutes each. This amounted to a half day of interviewing. Each asked situational questions like "what would you do in a difficult situation" etc. Also, they asked about background and why you want the job. I met with director level employees.
