I have a very negative impression of Mentor Collective. The interview process started with a typical phone screening. Then, there was a case study in which I had to create a short power point from the prompt and present it during a 2nd round interview with the hiring manager. Finally, I had 5 separate final round interviews with various members of the team. I also had to follow up one of these final round interviews with work samples that demonstrated project management materials/documents. The team promised to get back to me with an answer early the week following my final round of interviews. They did not get back to me with a decision until 2 weeks later. They also sent a very generic email letting me know I was not offered the role. After asking for more specific feedback, especially considering how much time and energy was required on both ends for the interview process, I did not get a response. For a company that highlights the "value" of feedback in their company culture, they do an incredibly poor job of demonstrating this value in their hiring process.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to prioritize across multiple projects. Tell me about a time you had to tell a customer/partner no. What does mentorship mean to you? Why is mentorship important in the current climate?
Thank you for your feedback, and the time you invested in the interview process. We endeavor to get back to candidates in a timely fashion and I am sorry this was not your experience here. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our hiring process going forward.

This interview process was the most rigorous I’d ever experienced. However, it was the most collaborative and transparent process. The hiring manager and committee were sincerely genuine and honest. There was much intentionality on hiring the right person who could embody the company values and help grow this startup company. I really appreciate the emphasis on building a curating team at Mentor Collective. Though the interview process was very rigorous, I have deep respect for the process. Ultimately, they offered me the job!
