I had a very difficult time speaking to the recruiter after being contacted initially . She repeatedly asked if I wanted to move forward with the interview with the hiring manager then ghosted me for long periods of time . After about two months I got the invite for an interview with the manager. I interviewed with 4 managers. The questions were typical. After I was contacted the next day for the opportunity to shadow an employee. I shadowed for a few hours and was offered the position the same day.

Applied online. Then a hiring manager reached out to me via email and phone within a week. Hiring manager asked me questions that seemed unethical. They asked me if I had other interviews and offers etc. Other questions included salary range preference etc. Then I had an interview with the director. Then group interview. Questions included: what is my experience with grief? What do I like to do for fun? How do I manage self care? How do I interact with difficult clients? How do I handle when others have differences in thoughts and opinions. Then I was called by the same hiring manager and they gave me a verbal offer and asked if I wanted to take it. I asked to have some time to think and asked when do I need to respond by. They proceeded to telling me that the offer may be given to others if I wait long. Asked if I was considering other offers? What reasonings behind me asking to wait to give them a response to tell the director? Should they send me benefits details to help my decision making? That the salary is non negotiable so if I receive other offers that I cant come back and say “hey so and so offered me this can yall bump my pay.” Then there was a specific benefit they added in that if I go to others I cant get at their location. Felt very pressuring and they called to give me this offer late in the evening. They said I had to give a verbal acceptance to the offer prior to accepting the esignature version. I really wanted things in writing first. Did not enjoy interactions with the hiring manager. They asked unethical things, was very pressuring, did not respect my answers, and wanted to know too much personal information that was unnecessary for them to know.
