It was a well organized process. There were 4 rounds of interview.
Round 1 : Video HR round.(6 questions ~ 20 mins)
Round 2 : Technical phone interview (45 mins to 60 mins)
Round 3 : Managerial round (45 mins)
Round 4 : Phone interview with HR (30 mins)

Round 1 : Video HR round
Pre-recorded questions. Why mathworks, example of teamwork, best project, difficulties faced during project etc.
Round 2 : Technical phone interrview.
Questions on Java & C++, Operating system concepts, OOPS, Basic Maths.
Round 3 & Round 4 are similar. Manager briefs us about the role and expectations. Then asks a few HR questions. Same happens in round 4.
There were three phases for recruiting procedures. The first stage was a brief and relaxing conversation, the second stage was about technical things and hiring manager asked several questions in the third stage.

Asked me to write a prototype for a simple algorithm in any programming language
1) HR interview : discussion about candidate profile (studies, former experiences, hobbies and expectations) and presentation of the company. 2) Technical interview: questions about MATLAB and control design automation. Choose among 3 topic : Maths/Deployment/Control Automation 3) manager interview
