After initial phone screenings with human resources members and the hiring manager, I traveled to corporate HQ for a multi step with all core team members, hiring manager and ceo. It took a few months to get through this process, which was the slowest in my career. After becoming an employee, I saw that Human Resources leadership was very weak and was unable to manage this process both effectively and professionally. The rest of the company interviews and process was enjoyable, but HR had too much control and involvement, almost to the point of my declining the offer.
