I applied online and had a screening call with HR. Don't waste your time like I did. The app already had red flags with the non-standard questions they were asking (beyond the standard sponsorship, demographics, bank regulation stuff). Then I had a jaw droppingly terrible call with Boomer Recruiter. BR opened with asking "so what's a young lady like you doing having interest in an ~200 year old finance firm?" Thanks for letting me know you have age and gender standards in mind that I don't match, and that you don't appreciate an analytics background in an applicant for this role. The rest of the conversation was equally unproductive and dragged on over 30 mins when I'd agreed to a "quick under 15 min" call. He droned on about the nuances of the company structure when it was clear I was (perceived to be) too young and too female to be actually considered. He delivered an official rejection via voicemail. Points for actually closing the loop; deductions for it being 3 days later than when he said he'd be in touch. MM, the decision was mutual ;)
